虚無僧は無宿の乞食僧や戦国時代（1467～1590年）の敗残兵等を源流とし、江戸時代に禅の修行として野外で尺八を吹いて喜捨を得ていた。そして、尺八を吹く、或いは聴くその一音によって解脱、悟りに至る境地を「一音成仏（いっとんじょうぶつ」と云う。
虚無僧 流水×錆鉢 ユニットが、一音成仏を、敗残と流浪の果ての解脱を尺八とグルーヴボックスで立ち表す「虚無僧尺八×マシンライブ」の第３弾！
2025年8月8日（金）の19時30分から虚無僧 流水×錆鉢ユニットがマシンライブイベント『寂不異音（せきふいおん）』に出演します。『寂不異音』はモジュラーシンセやグルーヴボックスを中心とした電子系インプロヴィゼーション（即興）イベントで、18時30分開場、19時開演です。

Komuso Ryusui x Sabibachi Unit: Shakuhachi x Live Machine (Itton-Joubutsu: meaning to attain enlightenment by playing or listening to one sound of the shakuhachi)
Komuso monks originated as homeless beggar monks and defeated soldiers of the Sengoku period (1467-1590), who played the shakuhachi outdoors in order to receive alms as a form of Zen training in Edo period. And the state of liberation and enlightenment that can be reached by playing or listening to a single sound on the shakuhachi is called “Itton-Joubutsu (One Sound Buddhahood).”The third installment of the “Komuso Shakuhachi x Machine Live” will feature the Komuso Ryusui x Sabihachi unit expressing “Itton-Joubutsu” and the liberation that comes after defeat and wandering with the shakuhachi and groovebox.
From 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, the Komuso Ryusui x Sabihachi unit will appear at the machine live event “Sekifuion.” “Sekifuion” is an electronic improvisation event centered on modular synths and grooveboxes, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show starting at 7:00 p.m.
